Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.
Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.
What will I Learn during the EFR Course?
•Basic Life Support CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level
•Prevent and care for the victim
•Manage injury to the spine
•Reduce the risk of a disease transmitting with the use of barriers
•Apply basic first aid
Our Emergency First Responder is a dry course and incorporates two primary components – CPR and First Aid.
1.Knowledge Development
This is self-study. You can do it anywhere at your own place including home.
What to Prepare?
Please read your EFR Manual and do the knowledge reviews after each chapter. Also, it is recommended that you get a pocket mask.
2.Practical Session
Time to practice CPR and First Aid, we will also be watching a video in the classroom of Omega Divers.
The EFR Course teaches you that Emergency First Response is flexible – you can learn background knowledge in your own time before participating in practical, hands-on training sessions with a qualified Emergency First Response instructor.
An Emergency First Response qualification is valid for 2 years. You should participate in an EFR Course every 2 years to refresh your skills and update your qualification.
Who can participate in the EFR Course?
Absolutely anyone can benefit from this First Aid/CPR Course. There is no restriction made on age or physical condition. We recommend that the minimum age is 8, but if younger children are interested they can join in too.
What are the benefits from the Course?
With you emergency First Response Certification, you will be able to perform CPR and provide first aid.
You get the license as supervising person for swimming pools.
The next step is the PADI Rescue Diver Course or other Specialties
How often do you run courses?
EFR Courses start every day, at 9:30am. Minimum number of participants 2.
What languages do you teach in?
We run EFR Courses in English. Please let us know if you require course materials in another language and we can order them for you.
How much does it cost?
The EFR course costs 120 Euros. All our courses include manuals, PADI certification, and free equipment rental. For the EFR Course program you’ll receive the EFR Manual to keep as a reference guide.
